Waza opined that international facilitation and good offices of the friendly countries can push the process of reconciliation and help in the solution of outstanding problems while political far sight and statesman like approach will also help the process.
“What is essential is the realization of the aspiration of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and a reference to the people of Jammu and Kashmir for permanent and durable peace in south Asia,” he stated.
Waza also expressed serious concern over the worsening health conditions of pro-freedom leaders including Advocate Mian Abdul Qayoom, Advocate G. N. Shaheen, Zaffar Akber Bhat, Yasmeen Raja and activists. He said that New Delhi was keeping the leaders behind the bars to suppress the ongoing liberation movement. This has exposed India’s tall claims of being a democratic country.
Waza sought immediate intervention of international human rights bodies to ensure their release.
